I am a graphic designer based in Glasgow with over 7 years of experience in the eCommerce sector. I enjoy long walks on the beach and the smell of freshly cut grass.

About Me

I started my career right after high school without a clear direction in mind. It was then that I discovered Adobe Photoshop and became captivated by it. Since then, I've honed my skills in other Adobe software, such as Illustrator, InDesign, and Lightroom, as well as extensive use of CorelDraw.

Since 2015, I have been working for UKSoccershop in a range of roles, starting off as a Website Administrator and gradually progressing into a Junior Graphic Design position. From there I was, the Lead Graphic Designer and I am now the Head of Graphics with a small team that I oversee on a day-to-day basis.

Outwith UKSoccershop, I have taken on freelance work whenever it has been suitable and this is something I hope to expand on and continue with going forward.

Skills & Experience

  • I have over 8 years of day-to-day experience using and maintaining Roland Versacamm and TrueVIS digital printers with a wide range of materials. I have also used Roland Vinyl cutters and I am fully trained with Direct to Garment (DTG) printers and also Direct to Film (DTF) printers.

  • I have experience using Mailchimp and Mailigen for email marketing with which I have created the headline and product image graphics. Similarly, I create the main desktop/mobile site graphics for UKSS and partnering companies which display new deals and relevant themes.

  • Working within the sportswear industry, I have created designs for football, cricket, rugby and ice hockey kits that have been keeping in with the branding of that particular team. My personal branding work consists of a lot of retro-themed designs, however the possibilities are endless. I enjoy feedback and I can work with you to create a brand that makes an impact.

  • I have used Adobe Software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom and some After Effects work. With CorelDRAW, I have over 8 years of experience as well as being proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs packages. Figma is also something I’ve used from time-to-time.

  • I have experience in all aspects of sublimation from the creation of the product lines - mugs/keyrings/mouse mats/luggage tags/passport holders, creating product images, to physically printing these with different types of heat-press.

  • I love to see progress from all aspects. Be it self or business development. If you had asked me 10 years ago what I would be doing, I can almost guarantee it wouldn’t be anything close to what my career is now, but through learning and developing my skills, I’m thankful to be in the position to help and support others through training or helping reach goals.

  • The beginning...

    After leaving school, I discovered Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator which I used in my spare time.

    This would set the scene going forward.

  • First steps!

    I landed my first role with UKSocershop as Graphic Design Assistant/Website Administrator.

    In this role I gained a wide-range of skills and development both in graphic design and the Ecommerce sector.

    I also gained valuable experience in customer services, mail room processes and created numerous product ranges for t-shirts and sublimation which are going strong to this day.

  • Moving on

    As a Graphic Designer at UKSS, I was creating email marketing and website assets, building on product ranges and creating a range of custom apparel for football/rugby/netball/ice hockey teams.

    I would also be maintaining the specialised inhouse font-system which would work in conjunction with the digital printers to fulfill customer orders.

  • Onwards and upwards 📈

    Appointed as Head of Graphics at UKSS, my role evolved into focusing on streamlining the monotonous day-to-day tasks while still maintaining high-standards and order accuracy.

    This included building the correct team and aiding in the training/development of my colleagues.

  • Looking forward

    In 2023, I got to look at my own POD brand and spent a number of months experimenting!

    I have spent a great deal of time developing my skills with web design - a result of that is this site.

    Going forward in 2024, I would love to expand my network and portfolio by taking more freelance work, developing skills further and also helping you with the experience I have.
